Introspection And The Power Of Becoming Self-Aware – Lesson 10 – Self-Awareness And Personal Growth

Estimated Reading Time: 8 minutes

Introduction

Welcome to Lesson 10, the final one, in my Introspection And The Power Of Becoming Self-Aware course!

Love and marriage.

A horse and carriage.

Chocolate and orange.

Peanut butter and jelly.

Wine and spritzer.

Scotch and soda.

Just some of the greatest pairings the world has given us. You can’t have one without the other, right?

Well, the same is true for self-awareness and personal growth.

We lead impossibly busy lives. We are so busy that it’s difficult to find the time to fit everything in, let alone stop to consider who we are, what our strengths and weaknesses are, what drives our personalities, or what influences our habits and values. We just don’t have the time or want to think about stuff like that.

Even when feedback is presented on a silver platter, the majority of people simply are not open to it.

The truth of the matter is that honest feedback cannot always be flattering. Nobody likes to hear negative feedback, certainly nobody wants to consider the truth of it.

But this is what has led us to this point right now – our lack of self-awareness.

The problem is that self-awareness is a necessary skill that will help you develop, personally and professionally, and will help you grow.

The Key To Self-Awareness

Humans are diverse and complex, so in order to become self-aware, we have to understand ourselves across many areas, the most important of which are emotions, habits, personality, psychological needs, and values.
